Festival of English will be implemented on 4 nominations
Poem competition
It is the competition that the pupils of secondary school who are learning English as a foreign language tell poems in English showing their ability.
· 2 pupils with 2 different poems can participate in the festival
· Participants get rights to take part in finale after passing primary select.
· Competitors between 5-11 school years can take part in this poem competition
· School that takes part in competition must prepare the musical background of the poems.
· Poems in (the) competition must not pass more than 7 minutes.
Song competition
It is the competition that the pupils of secondary school who are learning English as a foreign language sing songs in English showing their ability.
· Pupils can participate in the festival with 3 different songs. They will be able to perform songs in the duet form
· Participants get rights to take part in finale after passing primary select.
· Competitors between 5-11 school years will be able to take part in the song competition.
Competition of special abilities
It is the competition where the pupils learning English as a foreign language, having body language, gesture for showing parody, monologue and spectacle demonstrate special abilities in English using mimicries.
· From each school 3 special abilities can participate in the festival and there can only be maximum 4 people in one group.
· Pupils of secondary school between 5-11 school years will be able to take part in the competition of special abilities.
· Demonstration of the spectacle must not exceed 7 minutes.
· The first pupils who entered to ten in the result of the valuing will get right of taking part in the finale of the competition of special abilities.
· In this competition pupils will be able to participate individually as well as in a group form.
· In the valuing of the competition board of judges will give their points for ability of using English language, originality of the spectacle, ability of performing role, scenario and for suitably using the time period of scenario.
Competition of Composition
It is the competition that the pupils of secondary school who are learning English as a foreign language. Only they can join this competition with their compositions.
· Competitors between 5-11 school years can take part in this poem competition
· Language of the competition is English. Language level of the competition participants will be valued by English departments.
· From each school 4 pupils can participate in this competition. Participants will be divided according to their age. 2 pupils will participate between 5 – 8 school years, 2 pupils will participate between 9 - 11 school years.
· Participants will be informed about the subject of the composition during one week preparation camp created by AZUS.
· The result of the composition competition will be revealed to students and teachers on the festival day.
· Pupils must write down their names, surnames, childbirth addresses, native city, school number, telephone number, e mail address etc. and their short biography on the last page of their articles.
AZUS has rights to publish all sent articles. Participator bears responsibility for thoughts expressed in her/his article.
AZUS has right to regulate and make changes in the groups.
